Re: A Secret Santa Idea
I think this sounds like a lot of fun. I'd be willing to do this, but what if my secret pal isn't interested?
Donna, you have some one, the person you have has some one else and some one else has you.

Abbigail, on my basset hound group we did the same thing. Everyone used that account to send emails, e cards, ect all year long, as our SP was assigned for the entire year.

HI All
Trying to answer a few questions:
1. Michelle.... if you set up a secret e-mail address and I forward it to the person who has your name, and she isn't interested in communication with you between now and reveal date.... you probably just wouldn't get any "teasing" e-mails. If the person who you have is Not interested in communicating either... I would let you know that.
2. Donna, The person who has you.. is not the same person you have. When I set up the names I just drew them out of a hat--or literally a brown paper bag! TRUTH!! I made little slips with everybody name on them and just randomly drew and went down the list. If you set up a secret e-mail address and the person who has you... could send you teasing e-mails or e-cards if you wish. See above answer to Michelle.
Does this help??? I know it get kind of confusing sometimes...it sure does to me !! LOL I have a couple spread sheets going with all the info and update it constantly so anybody that wants to set up a secret e-mail... send it on to me by PM!

Re: A Secret Santa Idea
My daughter gave me this information. There is a site called elfster. This site is set up for mystery exchanges. According to her, when they did a cat gift exchange for Christmas, the computer did the exchange of names. It will email each person with the name of the person they are to get gifts for. You also go to this site and it will email your secret person so you can ask questions or talk. I don't know really much about this site, but it may be something for you to look into for the next exchanging of names.

I wrote an email to help@elfster.com and explained that we already have exchange names, but could we use this site to email our secret pals. I will let you know what they said.
I felt it was no harm in trying.
