Thread
Jo-Ann's have all of their thread 50% off this week.
I have purchased some of their rayon Sulky for machine embroidery but haven't used it.
Is the Maxi-Lock about as good as other brands for the serger?
Seeking opinions on the best thread for machine embroidery and for the serger. What do you think?
Thanks, Jo Ann

Re: Thread
I've heard it works just fine. My friend, Jeanette was just talking about serger threads the other day. She also uses the serger thread from Walmart that like $1.47 and loves it. Amie

Re: Thread
I've used only the Sulky rayon for embroidery and have had no trouble and the end result is beautiful.

Re: Thread
I use brother, Madera and sulky for embroidery. I prefer Madera. It doesn't shread as much & seems to stand up better. I haven't found a quilting thread yet. I am changing over to the 50wt thread, but have to finish off the 'other' thread I have before I completely switch. I was amazed how the 50wt helps the fabric lay flatter when pressed to one side.
