Featherweight Needles

I'm wondering what size Singer needles 15x1 do you usually purchase to use in your Featherweight 221 machines????

I have a package of size 14 and an empty package of ize 11 that came with my machine. My main goal with my fw is to piece quilt tops when I go to classes, etc.

So far the best price I can find is from an on-line dealer.

Many ladies in the guild has the little beauties and they use the Schmetz needles. At least that's what I see in their sewing notion box. I like to look in others sewing boxes... without looking like a snoop!

Tiggersmom,I have two Featherweights and I use the Schmetz needles, usually a 12 or 14. They work well for me. In fact I use these needles in all my machines (all 6).

Thanks QuiltinKay and Sewbug. I bought a whole passel of the Singer ones from the 221parts guy on line. They were a very good price and got great service so when I run out in the next year or two I'll give the Schmetz ones a try. I always use Schmetz in my Berninas.......I don't know why I didn't think to try them in the FW.
