I just got the Triangulations CD that you use to print out half square triangle and quarter square triangles onto paper. Does anyone else have one of these and do you like it? I've printed out some on paper piecing foundation paper, but haven't yet sewn them.

I've made them with preprinted half square triangles. They're okay. It's a lot of work tearing off the paper. I'd rather just use a square and sew down 1/4 from the middle on both sides. This works just as well. Plus you can make them a bit larger and square up to the perfect size.

I have that CD, and it has really comes in handy when I can't get to town and buy the triangle paper. As far as I remember, they came out just fine. If you use the foundation paper it comes off very easily. Great job for sitting in front of the TV with hubby. One of those mindless things that is kind of fun.

I love using Thangles to make HST's. But I like El's way, too, so if I'm doing an El pattern, I use her method. If not I use Thangles.

Tiggersmom, I'm using the Carol Doak paper for mine. I usually make mine with the QIAD method and have a few other "toys" to make them with, too, but I just had to try out this new "toy". I liked the fact that you can print your own and not have to buy different sizes like with Thangles, and if you run out there's no trip to the store. Like I said, I usually use El's method for these, but...a new toy....couldn't pass it up! LOL!

Go to http://quiltingandwhatnot.com/Half-Square-Triangle.html
You can print out free Half Square Triangle paper for almost any size. I love this method. It is extremely accurate and I can make a ton of Half Square triangles in no time. I use newsprint paper. It tears away very easily.
