I havent used one - I got the idea from my next door neighbor - he was laying a patio in middle of the night and had one on - I thought that might be cool for quilters - thought I would ask if any one else had get some feed back

I quilt with wireless headphones on and they can get warm. I imagine a splunker's cap would be warm to wear.

Are you looking for just the light? If so you can get just a battery operated 'flashlight' type thing with an elastic band that goes around the head. I think I saw one at Target or Wal-Mart. They would be in the sporting goods/camping area. Good luck S

A spelunker is a person who explores caves. That hat would be the light this person wears on his/her head to free up the hands. Miners also wear them. Mechanics, plumbers and others also use them when they need to direct light on what they are working on. I can't imagine a more ludicrous picture than me sitting in my sewing room with one of these things on my head.

LOL QC me either. LOL My family would def. consider having me committed somewhere. LOL Maybe GP might wear one while cutting with her rotary cutter? Remember the heck that poor girl caught over wearing her Kluts Gove and suit of armour while cutting? Well all that she needs to finish off that attire would be the Splunker Hat. ROFL I can just see it. LOL So sorry GP. It just came out & I had to type it. LOL OH what a visual! LOL Loves ya GP.

Can't you just imagine what it would look like to see a group of quilters at a retreat, all with splunker hats on!!!! Hey they could all turn their heads in the same direction and give a spot light to someone "stripping"! (OUR kind of stripping!!!!!!)
