Universal presser foot release
O.K. I just bought this gadget and I LOVE IT!! I didn't like the knee-lift contraption when I was trying out machines. I bought a Janome that didn't have this. Well, the presser foot release is controlled by a foot pedal that has a base where your machine pedal sits along side. YOu can adjust this release for lock up or up&down motion whenever you need it!!! I am stitching up a storm, folks. If this is a duplicate discussion, it is because I am doubley happy with it (really it is because I thought my prior "blurb" didn't go through!!); Cyn

Cyn I never heard of this! Where did you find it?? Would it work on a featherweight or just the newer machines?????? What is the """official name"""" of it??

HI Tiggersmom The product is new, I was searching all over last week for a presser foot release or lifter to see if they make them and FOUND IT!!! It is called UNIVERSAL PRESSER FOOT LIFTER, Patented by J.I.M. Enterprises, On my internet search I actually found it on several sites, but I ordered it from an actual quilt shop I found on-line. They work with any sewing machine, and like I said tiggersmom, I REALLY LOVE THE CONTROL USING MY FOOT INSTEAD OF A KNEE DOHICKY!!! Cyn
