Scallops, vines & waves template

Post by cindyg » Tue May 22, 2007 8:13 am

Has anyone used this template yet and is it easy to figure out? I'm so dense when it comes to math that I'm afraid I could never get it to come out right.

I got the Magic Vine book, and my eyes went cross-eyed - how can they be so smart!!! LOL!!!!

I haven't tried it, but I would love to, but I need to sit and think about it first.... yeah, that's a first - me thinking!

I am probably the worlds worst at figuring this kind of thing out. DH is really good, so when I get ready to use it, I will have him figuring it out for me. LOL What man doesn't love to show off his smarts. LOL

Cathy, you are the world's worst right after me. I never liked math. If I have trouble I get my DH to help me, too. He's really good at math and taking things apart and putting them back together, etc.

I did see on one of El's tv shows how to extend a pattern for quilting to fit the size of the quilt, and that has helped to understand about the scallops, but I'm afraid that I would have marks all over the quilt - LOL! - trying to get the scallops done... maybe when we do the Egg Money sampler, BOM, I'll try on that...

I think I'll order that template. The scallops and waves are so pretty.

Is there anyone who has the instructions for this. Mine were ruined during Sandy. My ruler/template is fine!

I am making Wish Upon A Star and just can''''''''''''''''t figure out how to draw the scallop border. I need to get this to a long arm quilter ASAP.

JudiJR-- Click on the Free Patterns button at the top of this page then click on the complimentary box. All of El's ruler instructions are listed on the lower left hand side.

Buy ruler 2nd time, indicate clerk for a gift and can you return it if don't like it! Take out instructions, copy it and return product.
