Thinking of possibly getting one of those new and improved Flynn Multi Frame Free Arm Quilting Systems and wondering if anyone has purchased one or tried one and what you think of it.... Have seen it listed on Amazon.com, eBay.com and at Nancy's Notions...

I had one about 5 or 6 years ago and didn't like it. I found it awkward and took up a lot of space. It works for hand quilting, but I didn't like it for machine stitching as I had limited space and table top. If you are making a quilt 4' wide and have your frame at approximately 5', you need 5' of space on each side of your machine and a 10' table to balance it easier. Some people swear by them, but it wasn't for me.

I own one, it's OK but bit of a headache to work with it.. I've purchased a darning foot, and it does some basic stencilling. I'm not ready for more modern equipment until my sewing improves should wait..
