quilting book

Post by EdieAnne1952 » Mon May 12, 2014 8:30 am

I would like to have a book about making bargellos. I can look at a pic of a bargello and see how it is constructed but I would like some patterns.
Can anyone direct me to a book with bargello patterns? I have checked Amazon but would like input from QIAD members. What's your favorite bargello book?
Thanks.

I can recommend a book called, BARGELLO QUILTS, by Marge Edie. It's an old book though so you might have to get it secondhand. I have used one other book, but can't find it right now. If I put my hand on it I'll let you know.

Thanks Joan.
I will check to see if that one is available at Amazon.
Have a great day.

I have two Bargello books:

Twist-and-Turn Bargello quilts by Eileen Wright
Beautiful Bargello from House of White Birches, a how-to from several bargello designers.

Both are great books!

EdieAnne,
Do you own EQ5 by any chance? Their is s quilt pattern already on their calculated for you etc..

Tomorrow June 8, I'll search our quild library book listing see if they have it, borrow in June, and somehow share what I read instructions... Maybe it will help.

Better yet, wonder if I can map out via EQ5 and send over to you the pattern.. Let me think about it..
