About pre bought templates

Post by ollie1shoe » Sun Aug 05, 2012 12:11 pm

Got a apple core template pattern I just purchased just wandering. Do you take the brown looking stuff off the back of template so it's transparent or do you leave it on where it doesn't seem to slip around as much I think it would be better if you could see thru it especially if you fussy cutting I usually make my own patterns with a thin template but this purchased one is much thicker So what do you do ???

I take it off, Glenda. I want to see what's underneath.

Hi Ollie, I take it off and put invisigripe on the template so it won't slip.

I would take it off, but would add Invisigrip or sandpaper dots.

Yes you take off the brown wrap so you can see where to place your template on the fabric. Lori

That paper should come off easily - if you can just get it started!!

Thanks for a great question. We never learn if we don't ask. I didn't buy some of those brown backed ones because I like to fussy cut things, like the centers of table runners, star patterns, etc. Can't see thru that brown stuff and didn't look removable in the store. Now I know. LOL Does that mean I am getting smarter in my old age??????

Hugs, Shirley Mae
