Another use for the Supreme Slider

I just discovered another use for the Supreme Slider, the pink rubber mat that is used under your presser foot to slide your quilt easier when you are free motion quilting. I put it on the bed of my Featherweight and it covers and protects the entire bed. No more pin scratches and wear of the gold decal. I just cut out a larger area to expose the feed dogs.

Yes, the Supreme Slider is expensive, but you could probably improvise something similar to do the same job.
