TrueCut Rotary Blade Sharpener

Post by Rockinrobin » Fri Oct 15, 2010 11:02 am

You guys have to check out the new blade sharpener we just got. It's called "TrueCut Rotary Blade Sharpener" and you can get to it from the home page under "new products we've added". I can tell you from personal experience that I tried this thing out on our kit department's old blades and it really works.

For what we spend on blades, this thing will pay for itself really fast. I tried to post the link here but couldn't figure it out.

That looks wonderful. Are the Grace Company rotary cutters available? I looked but couldn't find them.

I bought me one - wrong size for my blades - a long time ago - but I am looking at the one that you run your blade through that is a straight line - the True Cut one - it is on my wish list for DH to buy me!

TooMuchFabric - do you want the rotary cutters? I can check into those. We have a lot of the Clover ones on sale right now so I don't think we'll buy the Grace ones until we sell the ones we have.

Eleanor shows how to use this tool on the video for the Oct StripTzz. It looks way cool.

Does anyone know why the description says it works on any brand blade, but then says it also works with Olfa?

Thanks, I am thinking of putting this on my wish list, but want to clarify that it works with all brands of cutters. I have Olfa, Clover and Fiskar's.

El demoed it at our Teacher Training in Paducah, so I came home and ordered it and am awaiting it's arrival. So, I'm really glad to hear that you like it. I was hoping it was the right one. Guess I'll soon find out about different brands as I have Olfa, F & P, Martelli, and Fiskars.

Today I was talking with a fellow quilter and she had used this sharpener and said it was the best she had ever seen. She said it brought the dull blades to new sharpness. She was singing its praises.

We got some more of these in case you missed them the last time. They sold so fast my head was spinning. I'm still new at this and I was totally thrilled! Apparently our wholesale notions vendor can't keep them in stock.
