Flying Geese Ruler "One" and the 2 1/2" fussy cut ruler

I love it when I discover I have stuff to make my piecing easier.
I'm making 6" (finished) blocks with 1" x 2" finished flying geese for a swap I'm in. I picked these blocks because I knew I had a QIAD ruler for this size geese. However, since it's the one on the end, I have to turn the ruler to make that bottom cut.
Since these are so small, I decided I'd piece them to the next piece and then square up the entire unit since I'm sewing the top of the geese to the other piece. (OK, I'm typing this and realize it's not making much sense. Maybe I can do a 'big finish')
Anyway, I pulled out my 2 1/2" fussy cut ruler and discovered that with the center marked corner to corner, this is the exact thing that I need to finish up the geese. I still have to turn the geese to get to the bottom, but the diagonal lines line up just like the lines on the flying geese ruler, so I know exactly where to place the ruler!
