El's "Steering Wheel"

Post by kristilynette » Tue Jul 07, 2009 4:52 pm

Hello everyone - On the local PBS QIAD program, Eleanor has been machine quilting the past two weeks. She has used what she refers to as her "steering wheel". It is white and has two handles and holds the fabric taut while she machine quilts. She has said on both shows that it is great for people with arthritis. It is not the Halo product mentioned in an earlier post. If anyone knows what the product is and who sells it I'd love to have the info. Also, if anyone has used it, I'd like their comments. Thanks, Kristi

They are called Quilt Sew Easy Hoops

I bought some years ago when I first started quilting. The hoops do not move on the fabric, you have to remember to stop and pick them up and move them. I didn't practice that much with them because they were awkward for me to use.
