Easier use of The Triangle In a Square Ruler

I finally took the leap to create one of E'a quilts using the Triangle in a Square ruler. I found I was having a difficult time of keeping the ruler from slipping while trying to square up the patch. I retrieved some heavier thickness clear plastic from some sort of packaging, as I seen to have this thing about saving stuff. I ran it under hot water and placed it on the backside of the ruler. I just kept working out the excess water and voila it stuck fine to the ruler, and worked to keep the ruler from slipping. A long time ago I had seen this seem idea for rulers for the cutting mat and it did work then.
