Oh my I was just sewing along when I heard a louf pop. When I took my foot off the pedal the machine was still sewing! All I could think of was shut it off! When I unplug the foot pedal the machine will work but when I plug it back in the the machine doesn't work. Crazy! I guess I'll be getting a new foot pedal for my machine.

I hate when that happens. Are you going to be able to just get another foot pedal? I don't know what I would do if my machine broke. It would not be easy to live with me if I couldn't sew lol.

Oh I'm sure I probably can....for a good price! LOL! I'll try to get one soon. The push button sewing is not to my taste!

Brenda, this happened to me too! It cost nearly $100 for a new foot pedal for my Elna 7200. Grrrrrr

After checking at the dealer you might check on ebay. I have bought some things there pretty reasonably. Just an idea.

Abbigail, I recently bought just the cords to convert my older Pfaff into a 'quilter' on a frame. I searched far & wide for just the cords. Here are the 3 sites I found. I e-mailed the top 2 for information. I ordered from one of them, but can't find which one.
I think it was the sew4less one.

Buying foot pedal on internet, can might be pricey, how about 2nd store, or used sewing machine dealers who specialize in repairing might be better price...Never had that happen, but where I found some parts to my machine as opposed to internet.

Replacing the chord seems like a do it yourself project.

Unplug from machine your foot pedal, can you open the box see how it is made inside, is it something or hubby can replace, saving you
repair costs.?
