Bendable Bright Light
I recently purchased a new light for my sewing machine and I'm really excited about it. It's a bendable light that attaches to the side of my machine and shines alot of light right where I need it. It uses electricity and not batteries, and the company claims it lasts for 100,000 hours. I had heard from somewhere before (I forgot where) that this light gets really hot, but it's far from true. It stays nice and cool. Now I can see exactly where I'm sewing! Has anyone else bought this? It's a little pricey, but I think it's worth it.

I have it and I don't know how I got along without it for so long. It is well worth the price.

I love mine! Especially since changing Sadie's light bulb is a pain in the patoot!

I use a good clip on battery LED book light for workshops where an extra plug is a rare thing.

Re: Bendable Bright Light
i bought a 'headlight' it is a light (6 led lights) that fits on a headband. i love it, i got one for my son to use because he is a HVAC serviceman and is always in dark spots, attics or just looking inside an air conditioner or heater, i thought heck i am going to try it, since i used different machines , hand sew, and like to read, and the old eyes aren't what they use to be, this is better then sliced bread. It was 14 bux at Lowes but i am sure they have them anyplace that sells batteries and flashlights. and if you travel on trips after dark and the spouse is driving you can sit there and sew or read.

Grannyquilts - I have a LED head light on a stretchy headband. I got mine at WalMart back in the camping dept. where the flashlights are. I use it for hand sewing my bindings, etc. Works great and it's light weight, too.

This light is GREAT. Here is a copy of a message I sent to Kenderosa:
I hope you haven't ordered a new light, yet. You can order another "base" and move the light from machine to machine. I have it mounted on my Bernina & another base on my Featherweight, so I can use it on that machine, too. Much cheaper....and I'm all for multitasking, but haven't figured out how to sew on both at once. Can run the embroidery machine & piece on another one at the same time. Lyn
The lighting in the RV is not the best. I showed this to another RV/Quilter friend, who is a full timer (no house, only RV) last year. She has thanked me several times...her DH even thanked me.
