My mom ordered one for me. In my opinion its a waste of money. My machine is slicker,,,and it also slipped on my machine and the needle hole tore,,,I dont have the heart to tell my mom I cant use it.But some people swear by them.

I'm one of the ones that likes it. I've had no problem with it slipping on my machine table. It's very tacky and holds fine for me. I can tell a big difference because my machine table is older and has some scratches. I cut the hole to fit my feeddogs and leave it on the machine for piecing. One small advantage is my seams pressed to one side do not flip up anymore when sewing. I rinse it off under running water and the tacky comes right back and all the thread snip and things rinse right off. Shake dry, don't towel dry.

I have one and wouldn't do without it! Mine has a tendency to slip so I use a little "Blue" painters tape on each end to secure it. Makes a world of difference with free motion. I have the original one so maybe need to update and get this one. And my machine is in a wood cabinet so doesn't have a perfectly flat surface for it to lay on.
