Let there be light!

My living room has horrible light for doing any hand sewing so last night I picked up a head light at WalMart. It's LED, adjustable so you can shine it exactly where you need it, and light weight and it works like a charm. It was only $16 but it works so well I would have paid $60!!! These head lamps are back in the camping area where the flashlights are.

Thanks Cindy. I always wondered if they would work for hand sewing.

My feeble little brain is not working at all. You said head light and I could not figure out how you were going to use a car headlight to improve lighting in your living room.
I'll blame it on the sinus infection.

Is this like the miner's light's that go around your head? I have an Ott lamp and it's worth it's weight in gold. I can see to sew black on black at midnight.

Yes, it's like a miner's light only not so heavy. I just love it.

LOL I can see where it would work fabulous but that would drive me nuts I think. LOL I cannot stand anything on my head or forehead if it has to fit. I'll just have to depend on my Ott floor lamp. Seriously, does this have to fit very tightly?

Huge Hugs

I don't think I understand...does it fit ON your head like a ballcap or AROUND on your forehead? LOL Come on Cindyg you know I'm kinda dense. LOL

Cathy, it is NOT like a ball cap. It's an elastic adjustable strap that goes around your head. The light part is smaller than an egg, very light weight, and you can adjust it to shine where you need it. Don says I look like a coal miner. I think I look like a surgeon - LOL!! It doesn't bother me at all to wear it. MOF I forgot I had it on when I finished sewing last night.

If you forgot you had it on, then it wouldn't have to fit real tight. Whew!LOL That might be fine. Anything tight would drive me nuts or give me a doozy of a headache. I will have to check into these. Thanks. If they are battery operated, it would be wonderful to have during a storm when ya lose power or go to the lake and sit out at night & do hand work.
