I have been looking at the Gypsy Gripper for rulers. Has anyone used one? If so, is it a good tool? Thanks, Jo Ann

I have the small Gypsy Gripper and really like it. I think it does help to hold the ruler steady.

Between Invisi-Grip and the Gypsy Gripper, I can usually keep my ruler from slipping!

It is one of the very best tools I have ever bought. I will never cut again without it.

I have enjoyed mine, too, but does anyone else have trouble releasing it when you want it off your ruler? Wow, mine just doesn't want to let go! LOL! In fact, yesterday my grandmonkey stuck it onto my cutting table and it's still there! LOL! I really like the small one for templates because I feel a lot safer without my fingers that close to the rotary cutter.

I have both the small and regular sized Gypsy Grippers and really love them. But they release themselves after about a couple of hours, so am really careful about making sure that they are on tightly before using. I have the same problem with the vacuum sealed containers, and I think it is a high altitude problem with the grippers and the containers and the seals just won't hold for any length of time. I've gotten rid of the containers, but won't get rid of those grippers!

To keep mine from releasing I have put water on my fingers and wet the bottom of the Gypsy Gripper. It really helped! Then I needed to pry it off! LOL

Ihave one and it's great for keeping the long rulers from slipping. The safety factor is the best thing about it. I want the little size one too. I have trouble getting mine to release, they sure stay stuck!
The grippers are great to use for an extra hold for the bathroom tub, getting in and out. They are advertized as Handy Handles, different color but the same thing. I saw them at Sears!

I have both the Gypsy Gripper and I also purchased one from a bathroom place, Lines & Things or maybe Bed Bath and Beyond, much less expensive and they are exactly the same thing, just a different color. They work great and make for much safer cutting. One of the girls in my quilt class used mine and went out and bought one immediately. She had Carpal tunnel surgery and it helped with her loss of strength in her hand.

I really like mine! I bought it with my frequent buyer card at my LQS, which when full is $25, so didn't pay anything for it! I really feel safer with my fingers away from my cutter. I'm a klutz...
I did find out you have to be sure not to put it over the hanging hold on your ruler. It won't seal for you if you do that.
