I went to my LQS yesterday and bought a fabric pencil. This is the first time I have seen these. They had them in an assortment of colors, but I bought a yellow one, as I thought it would be good to use on both light and dark fabric. It has an eraser and the lines erased easily and very well. It comes with refills. Has anyone used this?

I have Quilter's Choice fabric pencils in white and silver but it's like a normal pencil, no refills. I haven't seen the one you have. What's the brand name of it?

It is a Sewline Fabric Pencil. It looks like a mechanical pencil but the lead is thinner. The package says that the lines can be removed with the eraser or by dabbing with a damp cloth or washing. I tried it at the LQS and the pencil mark did come completely off when erased. They had a varity of colors. Pink, green, black, white, and yellow. The pencil comes with a package of refills, and you can buy refills separately as well (and change colors if you like). I am anxious to try it

I just got one of these over the week-end. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but was impressed with it at the vendor's. Bought one with white and one with yellow. That way I could give my mom one of the pencils and half of each color and I could keep one and the other half of each color. I thought I would be good to use with templates rather than having to use my pounce.
