Little ironing board

I have a sewday once a month with a group of friends and we meet in a local community room and we have to tote everything to and from. The worst thing to have to tote is the ironing board. Even the small tabletop one is bulky to load and unload. I was browsing in the RV online stores and found this. http://rvpartscenter.com/ProductDetail. ... lect&SID=2 It folds up not much bigger than a tote bag! I am very impressed with the large ironing surface and slide in iron rack. I love the neat stuff made for RV living.

I have been using a sleeve board that was my mothers. It has two sizes and is perfect for toting around or leaving set up in your sewing room! I leave it set up because it only takes up a small space and you can easily move it out of the way!

Grammy2 Does the one at Target fold in half? I have a Target about 40 min. away and it would be worth the trip if it is the same board.

Several year ago I made a large (and I do mean large) tote to carry all my sewing needs to classes and guilds. On the inside of the bottom they had us put a empty bolt from fabric and put padding of several layers of warm and natural and cover it with muslin which we pinned on the back for easy removal and washing. Makes a great ironing mat to take along. Marge

I first saw one of these folding boards at a quilt class. Didn't think to ask her where she got it. Then a couple of weeks later I saw one in a store - but heck if I can remember which one!

I purchased one like this from Nancy's notions It is great, it fits next to my sewing machine in the travel case, and works well when in use. Linda
