Removing ripped out thread

Post by WeeOne » Tue Jul 29, 2008 5:59 pm

I'm getting a quilting day here in Canada...too windy to go out fishing. Anyway, I ripped out two rows of outline stitching on a lap quilt and had lots of little threads that had to be removed. I remembered that I had bought a thing that looks like a lint remover roller, but it's for removing dog hair...called "Pet Hair Pic-Up" 37% Stickier!! Has 60 layers of tape. WORKED GREAT! Pulled out all those little threads and in no time I was sewing again. I think I got this at PetsMart. It is very sticky. I'm sure glad we put this in the Motorhome! I will be buying another one when we get back home.!!

Happy Quilting!!

Thanks for the tip. I hate picking out all those little threads too. I'll be buying one of these sticky rollers as soon as I find one.

That's good information - thanks. I have a lint roller like that so when I use up the one I have, I will be getting a dog one.
