I just wondered if anyone here has this tool? If so ,do you recommend it? Is it as easy as it sounds?

If this is the plastic sheet that goes under the needle to sew from point to point, I bought one and used it. It got in my way when not sewing an angle and too much trouble to mess with when sewing a few angles.

I have it (at the recommendation of a teacher for a quilt class I took) and have used it. Like sewbug said, it does get in the way if you're doing other kind of sewing, but I've used mine a couple times when I have a lot of half square triangles to make. I don't think I would recommend it as a must have though.

I had to have one several months ago during a QIAD sale, have studied how to use it, still can't figure it out, so it still sits in its bag. The concept sounds great, but. . . carol/kittyquilt

Well, I changed my mind. It is a handy tool to have around.

I'm working on a table topper today that requires lots of 2 1/2 inch squares to be sewn diagonally to the sides of rectangles. The fabrics are medium to dark colors and it would have been hard for me to draw lines that I could see on them...not to mention all of the time it would have taken me. I pulled out my Angler 2 and am zipping through these and I'm very happy I have it. I don't use it often, but come to think of it, I use it more than other notions/rulers I have bought (some are still in the packaging). Hope that helps!

Kittyquilt, if you want help using yours, PM me and I'll do my best to explain.

btt, something to think about. I just brought mine out again today and studied it again. I think I got it! After ready and looking at the pics for the umpteenth time! Haven't tried it yet, but like sadiedaisy said, for those special times it looks like it would be really handy. carol/kittyquilt
