I bought my grippers at Harbor Fright(tool store) for a whole lot less. Small one for 99cents large one for 8.99.

Sidesaddle, Thanks for the idea!! I just went fishing on Harbor Freight & found four 'suction cup' lifters!!! I told DH the next time he is there he had better bring me home 2 or 3 of them!!

I have the itty bitty one but have not tried the in-between. The small one is great. I will keep the other in mind and like the "tried and tested" notions.

Many thanks to QIAD for the gripper I won ad the Meet and Greet in Paducah. I have used it a few times with my larger rulers and it is great. I also have the mini for my small 4 in square and love both of them. I is so much easier on the hands and you can keep the ruler steady when cutting.

I think the Little Gripper is my favorite quilting notion after my rotary cutter and rulers. I couldn't believe how much it speeds things up when you're trimming squares. I'm definitely going to order the larger ones, as well.

I got a little handle thing with two suction cups from one of my favorite eBay sellers, but it really doesn't work worth a darn for a large or heavy ruler.

The grippers that QIAD sells are slick!

I am definitely going to try Harbor Freight! They are also a good place to buy clamps for laying out your quilt. How exciting to get something "cheap". Way to go.
