pounce for marking

Thanks Cathy! I will see what I can find. There is something about those whole-cloth quilts that to me are just beautiful!

If it does not have a picture of an iron on the front, it is not the one that will steam iron or damp cloth right off.

I have used F and P marking pencils. The yellow is very difficult to remove. I contacted them and they had no suggestions. Never tried the pounce. I saw a demonstration at a quilt shop, the blue looked pretty intense to me. She did not show the removal process so I don't know how that works. I have tried so many different kinds of markers None are perfect. If you ever find a "perfect" one, you will be a millionaire.

When I use my pounce, I will generally just rub it over the stencil, then go over it with my marking chalk pen to keep the design on there while I handquilt. I also only stencil as much as I have in the frame. Yes, this tends to mean that my stenciling does not "come out right" at the corners, but I have been able to deal with it and make the design look okay at the corners.

wellgirls i was checking out some of these old post i have tried the pounce on a dark fabric and it works well what i ended up doing was spraying it with hairspray right after i did the marking and it stayed on much better just did a small area at a time though dont think the blue will do as good though
