Tiggersmom: I don't know if you can use the other side, never thought of that. It doesn't have any line markings on the reverse so probably not.
Nanjam: glad you were able to make a decision. Got my replacement mat yesteday and what a difference. Put in a new blade and finished my current cutting project with no hassles. Enjoy! It really does make cutting go faster.

At AQS Paducah show the person demonstrating said you could use both side but I noticed it didn't have lines and wondered if that might not make it rather difficult. I need all the help I can get to cut straight and precise. Will let you know how we do with it. Thanks!!

This is a great tool!! I own one, and don't really use my rulers anymore!! I love the fact that you can have a bar that ankers down the fabric and you can cut accurate cuts every time!!! I have had my now about 6 years and it is a little heavy, I don't transport it to offten.
I would reconmend any quilter to invest in this product!! It is worth the price for one of these tools!! What money you spend in this tool, you will save in so many rulers!!
