My friend and I were doing the same square with half square triangles. I had thangles , and she had the triangulations software. My block came out perfect. Her's was off 1/4 inch.

Now she is using thangles.

I'm a big fan of the WonderCut ruler if I have a lot to make. With this ruler it's easy and faster then using the sewing on the line method when you have many to make. I think everyone has a favortie way to make HST though and I'll always want to try the new toys!
