I just finished hand quilting my second quilt using the Aunt Becky tool. I watched the video "many times" and it took a little effort but it is well worth it. Enjoy, Lee

Hi Winona, The thimble is made by Needleart so I Googled that and found them both at createforless.com. Now that I know that there are people out there that actually use this method maybe I'll give it a try. If I get stuck this is the greatest place to ask questions and get real answers. Hope you enjoy it here....... jan in Punxsy PA

Hi Lee, I was wondering if you have the hoop that Jean Brown uses on the video? The thimble and the Aunt Becky would be a minor investment but I don't know if I want to spring for the hoop too. What kind of hoop do you use? It does look like it would go a lot faster and it's nice to know that there is someone out there who could help me out if I get in a bind. jan in punxsutawney

I bought the Aunt Becky tool and the thimble at my local quilt shop in Orange , Ca. I also saw Jean Brown at the Road to California Quilt show last January where she sold everything.

My brother-in-law made the quilt hoop set up for me. I bought a 12 inch hoop at JoAnn’s, he cut the round platform out of thin plywood and bought something at Homedepot to join the 2 parts with some screws that I can tighten. There is a 4 ½ in between the top hoop and the bottom plywood. Without this hope setup you could not quilt using her method.

Thanks Lee, I guess I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy one. I'm going to have to call and see where I can buy one of those hoops as I'm not that handy that I could make my own. I appreciate the info...... jan
