Re: Sewing Chairs
I have one desk chair at the computer with no arms. Found at Best Buy some years ago. It is fine for the computer area. But, I do have a different one for the sewing area. It has arms on it, only because when I really do hand quilting, it is a support for my arms. I use a back support when I sew, so my posture is better than it would be otherwise. Then, when I really do sewing, it is still very comfortable and the arms do not get in my way. I have been blessed with these chairs as gifts from others. So, I will take what is given and be thankful and happy to have them. I don't know what I would take with me, when we move to a smaller place.

Re: Sewing Chairs
My only suggestion if you're going to be able to get a new one--lucky you! is to go to a store and sit in the chair. I have bought chairs for offices and also one for my mother and that was what was recommended to me. Chairs come in different sizes, little did I know, but especially different between Mom and I, my chair was too big for her, hers was too small for me.
Make sure that if the chair isn't adjustable for height, you know what height your table will be and get one the right heigt.
My sewing chair is a "side chair" many probably never heard of one--you're too young!LOL. It's a very comfortable chair, but just a little low for my table. So, I'm thinking of how I can build it up a little, like with a nice cushion or something like that. But it's got a good supportive back, so I'll work on the cushion.
