Add-Enough ruler by CM Designs, Inc

Post by knitnoid » Fri Nov 09, 2007 7:45 pm

Has anyone used the Add-Enough ruler by CM Designs (same people who make the Add-A-Quarter ruler)? I saw it at one of the quilt shops I was in last week and tossed it onto my pile. I'm not sure why - I'm not a big paper piecer - primariarly because I can consistantly cut my fabric large enough. This ruler is supposed to help determine how big to cut fabric pieces for paper pieceing. For the moment,it will go into my ruler box as I don't have anything in mind for paper piecing.

I'll have to look for this! I love paper piecing and have a hard time cutting fabric to fit and not waste so much. Thanks for posting.

I couldn't wait to get this ruler. I ordered it. Another stocking stuffer for me from me! I'm so bad but it feels so good!!!

Someone gave me this ruler as a thank you for helping her learn to paper piece....I then used it while paper piecing my own work, and found that my favorite 28mm blade rotary cutter isn't high enough for using on the raised edge :(( So I went back to my old 6" quarter inch ruler to hold on the edge. Just thought I would pass the info on to those of you who like me prefer the 28mm cutter for paper piecing....you need to use a larger rotary cutter!

calico, are you referring to the Add a Quarter ruler or the Add Enough ruler? What brand of rotary cutter is your 28? I use a 28 Fiskars Ergo shape rotary cutter and it looks like it will accomdate the rise. I'll post when the rulers get here if this rotary cutter will work.

Yes, I thought it was the same as the add a quarter....guess this add enough ruler must measure the spaces for the pieces for paper piecing? Sounds interesting, but have never seen one.
