Quilt Pounce Chalk

Post by MLM42 » Mon Jun 18, 2007 12:21 pm

I marked a wallhanging with blue quilt chalk (Pounce) and I'm having trouble removing it from off-white fabric. I've tried several different soaps, even hair spray and rug cleaner. This is not the iron-out Pounce product. Any suggestions?

The blue chalk is awful but you have already discovered this. You could try Grandma's Miracle Spot Remover. The white chalk is wonderful, the blue seems to have residual dye.

The Ultimate Pounce powder comes off when you steam it. The regular pounce powder must be brushed off or washed off when you are finished with the quilt. Have you washed your quilt yet? Try rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip, too.

I have heard bad things about the blue but have never seen in person
are you washing the quilt - maybe borax - 20 mule team would work - it got all the blood out of my dh shirt when he fell off the ladder last year - i think it is all natural no harsh chemical but double check me on that
