Stabilizer for machine applique

I have a hint: use pressed (unused) coffee filters for machine applique stabilizer. It has worked great for me. It's light weight and dirt cheap.

Does it tear off easily afterwards?

Yes. If you have any difficulty, shoot it with the steam iron.

You mean it's better than the OESD roll I bought over the weekend? I paid $12 for it, not too bad when you consider it's 12 yards in length. I don't embroider but figure it would be aok for applique. Guess I will be keeping the shop rite in business and will get the store brand coffee filters! Who would have thought! Not me!

I don't know Cindy, what the wagon wheel is. I use it if I'm doing, say, a satin stitch around an applique or a zig zag. I use it instead of tear-away stablilzer, I'll put it like that.

I think it would work the same way, so I would say yes.
