Quilt in a Day Forums

Hi Everyone,

For the first time I want to put a 4 inch wide stripe on the border of my quilt but not sure where to start.

How do you cut the stripe from the fabric? I have 3 repeats. How do you manage seam allowances?

Hi Michelle! I asked just that question a couple of months ago in another thread. Brought it to the top here for you.

And, I ended up cutting my borders along the grain. I just kept moving the fabric along under the ruler, and it worked fine.
