Hi...the quilt Eleanor showed at the end of the show was one that was presented to her at our Great Black Hills Quilt Escape. We have been fortunate enough to have her with us twice now, and also Sue. Sue is coming back this year. This year we will be in Deadwood, so that will be a blast. Guess I better start saving up my quarters.

Hey Cindy....no not on Labor Day weekend. Have plans that weekend don't ya know. Our quilt retreat is always after the 2nd weekend of September. It always works out really well, because it goes from Sunday to Wednesday. Then the following Friday DH leaves for his Buckaroo ride for the weekend. So that gives me time work on the things I learned at the retreat. But this year I won't have that luxury as the parade I'm involved in is that Saturday. By Sunday I will be too pooped. On top of the parade, the little singing group I'm in has to sing at the picnic following the parade, and again that night at a highschool reunion. Sunday may be a sleep day. LOL

I made this quilt for my son's birthday. I backed it with brown minkee.
You can look at it in the photo section:

Scroll down, it's done in browns and blues. Tried to keep it masculine. He looked to to make sure there were no flowers on it. That was the hardest part of the quilt, trying to find fabric that went together and had no flowers!

I have a friend that made this quilt in Country plaids & it was so cute! I've done 2 in flannel that are really snuggly. Evie, I love your DS's quilt! With Minkee for backing I can just feel the cuddliness. Bet he is very proud of it.

Evie, your "Don't Fence Me In" quilt is beautiful, in a masculine way, of course. Bet it is heaven backed in Minkee. I made both of my granddaughters quilts backed in Minkee and now I want to make one for myself! lol
All of your quilts are beautiful. You are a very prolific quilter!
Proud of you.
