I'm having trouble removing the blue chalk from my quilt top. Any suggestions.

I'm never used a quilt pounce, but when I use a blue chalk pencil, I use a damp wash cloth to remove the lines.

Aren't they suppose to be able to be removed by ironing over them? That is what I read and seen on different quilt shows.

What do the directions on your product say?
If it's not coming off after doing what they tell you to do I would call them or email them and see what they suggestion next.

I looked on the directions of the pounce. If you use the "Ultimate" pounce powder then it comes off with steam. The regular pounce powder it says to brush it off or wash the quilt and it should come out. As I posted on another thread, I read somewhere to try and use a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. I've not used my pouncers yet so I don't have personal experience.

When I bought mine they said to use the white it comes off with no problem ,the blue was not recommanded .The white comes off like a dream just use a steam iron . Hope you don't mind that I jumped in on this discussion I just join the group .

A damp cloth is probably going to be your best bet. The blue is awful to get off. The white vacuums up very nicely. The ultimate is the kind that disappears with an iron.

I know this doesn't help, but I like the chalker/rollers. the lady at my LQS told me to refill it with cornstarch or babypowder. I love it, it works like a dream.
