CONQUERING THOSE NASTY "Y" SEAMS
CAN ANYONE SUGGEST AN EASY WAY TO DO THESE?

GeneGuy, Y-seams don't have to be "nasty". The biggest thing to remember is to start sewing and stop sewing 1/4 inch from the edge of the seam. Don't be afraid to mark the spot where you need to insert your needle. The first quilt I ever made was a tumbling baby block which uses the Y-seam to connect diamond shapes. By the time I completed this quilt I understood the directions and the concept.
