Keeping fabric tight so I can pin it before quilting

Post by Skiquilter » Mon Aug 13, 2018 4:58 am

I have 4 quilt tops I need to quilt. I’ve been putting it off long enough. I looked on YouTube and everyone stresses the importance of keeping the quilt top tight as you pin. I’m not sure how to do this since I do not have a table large enough. Any suggestions or tricks?

You can use your kitchen floor. Use the blue painters tape and tape the back to the floor. Then layer the batt and top. Use the curved safety pins. If you have hardwood, put down a old cardboard cutting mat to protect the floor from scratches. You can slide it around under the quilt as you are sandwiching it.
