Hello evry1, not sure if this is the right category to post but I hope it is. I recently had posted that I'm new to the site & have received many warm welcomes, Thanks for those, but now Im finally getting my sewing room sorted & I found some blocks that I hadnt seen in a few years among my stash, they are 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 pieced blocks finshed 4 1/2 sq. & some 6 1/2 sq blocks christmas fabric. I don't remember what I was working on or what I was planning on when I pieced them, I would appreciate any suggestions for patterns or block that I could encorporate these lonely blocks...I tried to post pix but couldn't figure out how to do that...sry thanks happy quilting :}

You might think about using squares and rectangles of fabrics to add to the blocks you have to make up 6 1/2 or larger blocks. Not sure that is the best way to describe what I'm thinking! If you look at a pattern like the Yellow Brick Road, you can see what I mean:

or organized as rows:

make a frame for a panel:

or forget the blocks and treat it like a jigsaw puzzle:

Anybody else have ideas or pictures?

Or use them to make tote bags, grocery bags, pillow covers, pillow cases, wall hangings, purses, or dress up quilt borders in their corners or even in their middles.

The odd ball blocks I keep and make quilt as you go Seminole type idea. We sew our blocks top/bottom, Seminole be left to right like typewriter.. Can be a scrap method with borders in between etc..
