Help with binding

Hello Ladies, I am trying to make some bibs for my 1st great-grand-daughter. I know you can do them like a pillowcase, but I really like the finished look when you put wrong sides togethe and than bind. I bought premade binding, but that does not seem to give enough for all the turns. Any suggestions or hints? Thank you.

There is bias tape that may be what you have - it is narrow and hard to turn to the back - I would suggest that you make your own bias - you can look at El's media theatre for how to do it.
I make bibs like that all the time - they really look nice.
There is available a quilting bias tape that is wider that may work for you too - check out your local sewing store.

I use the extra wide double fold and don't apply it traditionally. I just put the bib inside the fold and stitch far enough away from the edge to catch both sides. Pin, pin, pin. When going around the curves, you need to pull a little to get it to stretch around the curve, but it usually works well for me.
