Does anyone own a Baby Lock Symphony? I have a Quilter's Choice (best machine I ever owned) and have been looking at the Symphony for months. At 60yrs old, will I ever use all the stitches and features? I've made all sizes of quilts without problems. Now am feeling guilty for even thinking of paying sooo much money on a machine that will only be used for a hobby. Need encouragement here.

I agree, go for it! I have been thinking the same thing about an embroidery machine. But I'm wasting more time worrying and thinking that could be spent embroidering!!! You still have years of fun and sewing in you, get it and have fun!!! And use your good china and linens, no one else is going to love them like you do...............

Absolutely, go for it! We only live once and it all ends way too soon.
My days are filled with sewing/quilting/embroidery or thinking about sewing/quilting/embroidery and it makes for a pleasant life.
(can't spell);

Might as well go for and make yourself happy, remember we only live once. I have a Janome 10001 machine and have had it for years. The day my DH signed up for social security last year we went from the s.s. office to the quilt store and he bought me an Pfaff 18.8 grand quilter with the inspria frame and a q-bot too. Boy boy that man sure does spoil me, and I spoil him too. You can't take it with you, so you might as well have fun. Don't save your good stuff for a special day, there all special days.

Thanks to all for the words of encouragement. Guess since I didn't buy myself a Christmas present, I know exactly what I will get myself for Valentine's Day!

Bought myself a Brother Laura Ashley-same as the Symphony, just a different name and is also made by Baby Lock. My Dealer had it on display for a couple of months and sold it $1300.00 off the regular price so all that guilt building up in me washed away quickly. I also get 20 free sewing lessons. Couldn't ask for more. You were all right-this was so worth it. It sews like a dream-so fast and so accurate. I feel like a television commercial. It has changed my quilting dramatically. Thanks all.
