Turkey Table Runner Pattern

I'm having trouble finishing the turkey table runner made from the leaf pattern. My turkey and leaf blocks are great. Putting the table runner together is the challenge. My points aren't matching up and it's puckering. Does anyone have suggestions or more detailed instructions on how to make the table runner that has the blocks on point at the ends?
Thanks Much,
Tina

Hi Tina. I haven't done this pattern yet, but does the pattern require Y seams? If so, you will need to stop at he 1/4" seam (don't sew all the way through). Hopefully someone who has made this pattern willcome along soon and be able to help you out more.

Tina - I have finished quilting the Autumn Leaf tablerunner and did not have the problems. I do think there are a lot of bias seams, so maybe that is where your problem lies.
Mary - No y-seams, just two color flying geese blocks. The directions are easy to make the flying geese.

The bias sides cause the problem. I solve this by sewing a seam on the bias edge just to keep it from doing what you are having the problem with. It works for me. Good luck. Take your time with it, and don't try to sew it fast, since it is on the bias.

Also, if you have a bias edge joining to a straight edge, sew with the bias on the bottom - that lets the feed dogs keep the bias from stretching. Hope this helps.
