I just bought a jelly roll and I am clueless how to use it. Is there patterns for these or does one just wing it and do whatever they want?

I need to leave for an appointment but when I get back I will post some websites for you. Although, we have several forum members here who have made beautiful quilts from jelly rolls.
One pattern that comes to mind is Eleanor Burns patter "Double Pinwheel". She uses 2 1/2" strips to make it.
Also, her Still Stripping book, all patterns use 2 1/2" strips.
There's a braid pattern at Quilters Cache and also at Quiltville.
If someone else hasn't posted by the time I get back, in about 3 hours, I will post the websites.
Happy Quilting!

Quilt in a day log cabin would work also.

I got a book called Jelly Roll quilts, it has lots of great patterns in it. I haven't bought a Jelly Roll pack, but I still want to make several of the projects in the book. It uses some of the Moda packs so you can see the quilts in different color ways.

They are also known as noodles or worms. I know there are several books for Cans of Worms.
