Cynthia was free motioning a feather design and used a tool to move the fabric instead of just her hands. Does anyone know the name of the helper which looks like a "U" or horseshoe shape and has bumps where you place your hands. It's like using a steering wheel and Elinor said it would relieve the stress in the sholders.

I found information about the Halo but that is a complete circle.

Help!

I have a set of white plastic U shaped with handles. It has foam pads on the bottom to hold the quilt while you move it. I got them at Hancock's Fabric years ago. I saw the same thing in blue plastic online while doing the fabshophop. I have no idea what shop it was at though. They are still being made.

I looked at the name on mine and it was Quilt Sew Easy so I googled it and found them.

I had one of these things, but to be honest, it was more trouble than it was worth. My arms and hands got so tired trying to use it I finally stopped trying to get it to work. It may work better with the silicone pad on the base of the sewing machine, but that is just a guess.

Good luck,

I have this gadget also, and they aren't that great, try the gloves with sticky dots on them.

I have the HALO thingy, and like the rest, I don't use it. I like the gloves and Supreme Slider.

I use gloves (machingers) sp and really like using them. I have tried the U shaped thing but don't really care for it. The gloves are much easier to use and you can keep these on when you are cutting or threading your machine also.

I just use gardening gloves with the sticky dots on them. Wal-mart usually has them for 25 - 50 cents on clearance, that's when I buy them. Someone was in my sewing room the other day and wondered why I have gardening gloves in the sewing room - shouldn't they be in the garage? I just laughed and said I have too many hobbies to keep my tools straight LOL

I like the Halo to quilt with. Sometimes I use the gloves, just depends on how the quilt feels. Geri
