My quilt has brown shapes in it and I'm using brown thread. Does any one have a good ideal that I can use to help me see the stitches I make? Thank you for your time.

Try using a lot of bright light. I have trouble seeing the stitches when the thread and fabric match or are really close in color.

I sit under the dinning light and try to wait mid day then it helps with out side light too. I did come up with an ideal, use white thread with it and do not knot the white thread but, it seamed to slip through the eye of the needle. (I was going to at the end of those stitches use the eye of needle and slide the white thread out.)Unfortionally the ideal did not work for me.

Girl - I went to WalMart and got myself a head light (sort of like what miner's wear on their forehead). It's very light weight and you can adjust the angle of the light to where you need it. They are back in the camping dept. where the flash lights are. I really has helped me.

The OTT light lets me see black thread on black fabric at midnight. It's worth the price. I bought the original OTT lamp about 8 years ago and the bulb is still burning.
