It's a square with 4 squares in each corner, stitched and pressed. I leave my in, I don't trim them.Amie

Hi Nana...hope you are staying warm out in the high desert! Bet the nights are getting quite cold...brrrr!
Snowball blocks are great for larger prints, especially those that are so cute you can't stand to cut them up! They look really nice alternating with 4- or 9-patch blocks, too.

The Snowball Block is so versatile. In this quilt, I used the dark blue with light blue corners for the Snowball Block and a variation of the Friendship Star for the alternate block. It's all in the fabric placement for how it looks when completed.
