BIG STITCH QUILTING or Sashiko ?

Post by Quiltlearner » Sat Nov 08, 2008 4:20 pm

I want to learn Big Stitch hand quilting. Is it the same as Sashiko?
Does anyone know a website where I can learn how to do it?

Thank you, Quiltlearner

Billie Lauder used to have a free tutorials on her website on the Big Stitch technique, but it's gone now. BUT, I remember it!

She used Tiger Tape, the neon tape with lines on it.
She put it on her top, cut whatever sizes you need and you use the Tiger Tape as a guide. Your needle is in synch with the lines on the tape. Amie :o);
