I bought a "Less Than Traditional" quilt kit during the AQS show here in Paducah last April. I have yet to try it. I was wondering if anyone has made a quilt using this technique before. If so, what did you think about it and could you give me any tips.

I'll have to go online and look up your Less Than Traditional quilt and see what you are talking about.
EDIT: I saw this method done on Fons & Porter. They made it look pretty easy. It looks too much like a Cathedral Windows for me - I made a king size Cathedral Windows and I call it my 'quilt from h-e-dbl L' - LOL. Seriously, it is a really cute quilt. You bought the pattern so you might as well give it a whirl.

I have made some placemats using that technique. I didn't even know it was called 'Less Than Traditional' until I looked it up online!! I'm not sure what your kit contains, but my only tip would be to be sure to cut the circles carefully, if they are not already cut in the kit. As long as I had them carefully cut and marked - where to sew them together - I had no trouble at all. Have fun with it - and maybe a photo when you're done??
