Minkee

Post by cindyg » Sun Mar 09, 2008 3:51 pm

I went to the LQS yesterday to get wide backing for baby Hannah's quilt. They didn't have any that I liked. The lady that was helping me talked me into Minkee. I love the soft feel of it but I'm not too sure how my machine will like it. Grammy65 used it on a quilt but I can't find the thread. Any hints from anyone? I'm a little nervous about it.

I think I remember that who ever was using it had no problems, Cindy.
Hannah will surly love it.

I've used it in two quilts and it was real easy. I used 505 spray adhesive on the backing, spread out the batting, sprayed again, and spread the top over the batting. I still used curved safety pins, just not as many. The spray kept the minkee from shifting.

I don't have a frame, but I remember someone talking about it on the frame and did not have a problem.
