The quilt below has the stars fade into the binding... Do you think that it needs an extra row with points to complete the stars or will it look funny to have the blue points going into the blue binding?

I like the way it looks in the picture, but it sure would look good with the stars completed, too. Just a matter of what you are looking for, I guess...

I agree with September that it would look good with the stars completed as long as it's done in the same style. Half-square triangles should work.

IMHO I think it depends on what you like or want. To me, it looks great as is BUT if you wanted to complete the stars it would look nice as well.

I think it might always bug you if you dont complete the stars. Besides if you dont like it ending with stars points you could always add a border or two.

i think it depends on your taste i really like it - sometimes we need to stretch out and do the unexpected in our quilting

I think it would be smashing if you completed the stars into a white border, then added a blue border. But that's just my thinking.

I would complete the stars but I am a freak about that sort of thing :O)

Thanks for everyone's advice. Seems that there is definitely a mix of opinions, which is great! I've decided to not add the extra border and just get it done. I'll post pictures when it is complete.
